The concrete industry consists of an entire chain of companies that supply each other with raw materials, purchase and sell products and support each other in production and transport. The system works like a well-oiled machine, but it is subject to numerous rules, standards and certificates. This also applies to the safety of the employees and the built structures.

Those who do not choose collaboration have no future in the industry. This was once again made clear during the development of the SQAPE technology.

It was the search for a replacement for cement that made Cementbouw engineers realise that there were opportunities in the products that Van Gansewinkel recycled. The collaboration led to a unique discovery, where the binding agent cement can be replaced by highly sustainable mineral residues. Thorough tests with partners and research institutions proved the value of the new polymer technology. Governments also joined in and soon the first projects based on our patented SQAPE technology were realised.
