By order of the WTCB, various circular concrete techniques have been validated and explored by means of research. One concrete technique that has been highlighted is that of alkali activated materials to which the SQAPE technology belongs. In this comparative research, reference cement concrete was always compared with the geopolymer concrete variant.
It clearly emerged that the resistance to chloride penetration and to acidity was much higher. This is several factors better than the reference.
This makes the SQAPE technique interesting for applications in sectors where chemical resistance is important. Examples are the agricultural sector and the chemical industry.
